Consulting chemist and food technology pioneer.

2 sons, one daughter, and a son (born around 1950) adopted after one son killed himself in a backyard chemical lab.

At one time Commodore of the Sandringham Yacht Club, sailing a 30 foot Altair class yacht (made around 1972?) (now owned by Terry Whelan who sailed with him).

Founded his own Consulting Chemist and Public Analyst Laboratory, Bernard Heath & Associates in 1928.

He was heavily involved in the establishment of the first Food Science and Technology course at the Melbourne Technical College (now Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology) and was also one of the first part-time lecturers in this course.
